May Update.

Perhaps you noticed at the end of last year I made some changes to my social media accounts...or, perhaps not.

It was the culmination of a plethora of conversations over a long period of time with God and my circle of trusted relationships and pondering what these spaces meant to me now.

I had the same social media account on Instagram since my first child was born almost ten years ago. At first, it was a place to share photos and updates with family and friends then slowly transitioned to a place I shared my heart every now and again. Back then I was more comfortable sharing daily life with an online readership, but as my children have grown and social media has become distressing at times, I felt the instinct to protect their stories more.

At the end of 2020, I made that account private under a new name and closed that chapter of my life in an outward way that portrayed what was happening inwardly. That decade held many beautiful moments and at the same time contained a truckload of long-suffering.

I sensed the horizon of a new beginning arising in my soul and I desired to have a new beginning outwardly too.

So, with my name @laurendcrow available again I changed #shestandsstrong (my original ministry writing account) to my actual name. I have hidden behind other names, organizations, and people my entire life and God was calling me out.

No matter how hard I try to be consistent with online content, I find myself back in the hidden spaces tending hearts in unseen ways and places because that is what matters the most to me.

I prefer to publish thoughtful, genuine, and encouraging content when I have space to do so, then post just to stay on top of social media algorithms (and add to the already overwhelming noise of the social media world).

Consistency begins in my relationship with God, my marriage, and my children, and what remains overflows outside of my home in various ways, one being online because I love connecting with this community of wonderful women.

I choose to flow with the graceful rhythms in my season of life instead of rushing ahead. Sometimes this looks like posting often and other times this looks like pauses.

My mission remains the same: mediating hearts with God’s heart. I do this through writing, teaching, and mentoring.

  • I keep my online scheduling calendar up to date so, at any time you need an individual mentoring session, you can easily book one with me online. I absolutely love meeting with you whether you are located in the United States, Brazil, Australia, or any other part of the world, these times together are a great joy and honor for me!

  • I will continue to offer and host online classes and group mentor sessions. (And I desire to one day host in-person mentoring and group gatherings too!) If you are on my email list you will be the first to know of any offerings.

  • Now for The Caregiving Mom, I am dreaming up some things with God for this fall. Stay tuned, friends.

I share all of this, so you know what to expect from me in the little spaces of the internet I take up.

Here’s a couple of new things!

  • You can now purchase my previous online classes here! So excited to offer this to you!

  • I am grateful to be a contributor on the Moms for Mental Health team! You can check out this community’s encouragement here.

  • Here's my latest social media post where I share some thoughts from wrestling with body image...let me know what resonates with your heart, friend!

Thank you for sharing my writings, teachings, and online offerings with your communities - I appreciate this so much. Praying for you always!

Much love,

Lauren

“For too long we have been in a far country: a country of noise and hurry and crowds, a country of climb and push and shove, a country of frustration and fear and intimidation.

And he (God) welcomes us home:

home to serenity and peace and joy, home to friendship and fellowship and openness, home to intimacy and acceptance and affirmation. We do not need to be shy. He invites us in...”
